Introduction
Ultimate Insulation Supplies recently contributed to the Stalla project, a bespoke domestic housing development located in Craobh Haven, near Lochgilphead. This project focused on creating a highly efficient and comfortable home while ensuring long-term sustainability and energy savings.
Project Overview
The Stalla project required high-performance insulation solutions to meet the specific needs of the structure and location. The site, close to the stunning Scottish coastline, presented unique challenges in terms of weatherproofing and thermal performance, as well as choosing materials critical to the success of the build.

Safe R Phenolic Foam Insulation Board: Known for its excellent thermal performance and enhanced fire classification, Safe R was used throughout the building to maximise insulation and reduce heat loss, ensuring a warm and energy-efficient home.
IKO High-Performance Flat Roof Board: This flat roof board offers exceptional performance under extreme conditions. The IKO board's durability and efficiency were essential for withstanding the coastal weather conditions.
Unilin High-Performance Foam: To address the issue of thermal bridging in the internal steelwork, we supplied Unilin foam. This material is designed to reduce heat transfer, contributing to overall energy efficiency and thermal comfort.
Pro Clima Airtightness and Weather Tightness Tapes: Ensuring airtightness and weatherproofing is crucial in any modern home, especially in an exposed location like Craobh Haven. We provided Pro Clima tapes to seal the building envelope effectively, preventing air leaks and ensuring the home remains protected from the elements with effective secondary weather tightness.
